Amigurumi dragon pattern

PATTERN: Sitting baby dragon

This baby dragon still has a lot of growing up to do before he becomes the magnificent creature gliding in the clouds. Right now he still prefers sitting on his nest, waiting for his spikes to grow and sharpen and wings to sprout from his back.

Includes one PDF file, 12 pages. Pattern is written in English, using US crochet terminology. I included detailed instructions, many step-by-step photos and useful tips and tricks.

17,5 cm (7") tall, when crocheted with DK weight cotton and bamboo blend and a 2,50 mm crochet hook.

2. Beginner - suitable for novice crocheters, includes small details and requires patience and precision when assembling the dragon.

Crocheting in spiral
• Chain, single, half double and double crochet stitch
Increasing and decreasing

• Yarn. I used Katia 'Bamboo', a DK weight cotton and bamboo blend, 100 m = 50 g (109 yds = 50 g) / 8 ply / 11 wpi. You will need about 60 g of yarn for the body and about 15 g for the spikes.
• 2,25 - 2,75 mm crochet hook (US size 1/B - 2/C) or according to the yarn.
• Polyester fiberfill, wool, wadding etc. for stuffing.
• 12 mm (1/2") safety eyes or buttons, beads, felt etc.
• Cotton embroidery floss.
• Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker.
